SWITEC POLICY.  NO ADULT MAY WORK A TEC RETREAT WITHOUT HAVING COMPLETED A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK, YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING, AND SIGN A FORM AGREEING TO COMPLY WITH THE "BEST PRACTICES".

 

Any new Applications to work a team now have to be verified from your home Parish that you have had a Criminal Background Check and have had Youth Protection Training.  Your application cannot be considered unless this verification is provided by your Youth Protection Coordinator or Pastor.  Please use the Print button below to print off a copy of the current Team Application to take to your home Parish.

Note:  All those who have worked a TEC team since the implementation of this process (November 2003), are "grand fathered" into the "approved list".  If you have worked a team between November 2003 and July 2005, you have been approved to work a Team according to the YPC criteria.  If you move parishes, live in another diocese, leave the diocese and come back into the diocese or are accused of a crime or cause scandal in the community, you MUST go back to the YPC Coordinator and get another approval.

If by chance you have submitted an on-line application, please print the attached form and take it to your YPC Parish Coordinator to have them sign and verify that you have had a background check and youth protection training.  You can also have your YPC Parish Coordinator e-mail the verification to the Chair Person of Team Selection Committee (Brad Tretter) btretter@hotmail.com.  You will not be considered for a team position until this verification is received.
